NOTICE OF HEARING

 The Monroe Township Board of Supervisors will conduct a public hearing on Thursday, May 9, 2024, beginning at 6:00 p.m.  The following Request for Conditional Use Relief will be heard:

                                Applicant(s):       Cumberland County PA S3, LLC

                                 Owner(s):            Corey W. Myers, Kyle A. Myers & Lorraine M. Myers

                                  Property:             1369 Creek Road, Boiling Springs, PA  17007

                                  Parcel No.:          22-12-0348-021

Applicant is requesting conditional use relief for the property located in the Agricultural, Conservation, YBCB Zoning district.  The relief requested is for a solar energy generation facility.

The above hearing will be held at the Monroe Township Municipal Building, 1220 Boiling Springs Road, Mechanicsburg, PA  17055.

All interested parties are urged to attend.  The aforementioned application and plans are available for inspection by the public at the Monroe Township Municipal Building during regular business hours.

SEVEN YEAR REVIEW PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE

TO:             Citizens of Monroe Township, Cumberland County

RE:               Public Hearing notice for the seven-year review of the Monroe Township Agricultural Security Area

In accordance with the provisions of the Agricultural Area Security Act of June 30, 1981, P.L. 128, No. 43, §2, and all revisions to this statute through Act 14 of 2001 (the “Act”), NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that a Public Hearing will be held by the Monroe Township Board of Supervisors on the 25th day of April, 2024 at 6:00 PM at 1220 Boiling Springs Road, Mechanicsburg, PA 17055.

The purpose of this Hearing is to fulfill the requirements for conducting a seven-year review of the Monroe Township Agricultural Security Area involving the proposals of the attached owners, parcels, and acreage within Monroe Township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania.

The Monroe Township and Cumberland County Planning Commissions and the Monroe Township Agricultural Security Area Advisory Committee have recommended approval of the attached ASA by the Monroe Township Board of Supervisors with proposed changes made as part of the seven-year review. After reviewing and considering the subject agricultural security area seven-year review changes, the recommendations relative thereto of the Monroe Township and Cumberland County Planning Commissions and the Monroe Township Agricultural Security Area Advisory Committee, the factors set forth in Section 7 of the Act (3 P.S. §907), and any written or oral comment offered at the public hearing, the Monroe Township Board of Supervisors may proceed, at the conclusion of the public hearing, to adopt this proposal or modification of the proposal the board deems appropriate.

The present notice has been published in accordance with the requirements of the Act of July 3, 1996, P.L. 388, No. 84, known as the “Sunshine Act.” A full listing of the Agriculture Security Area parcels can be reviewed at the Monroe Township Administrative office during normal business hours.  True and correct copies of the present notice have also been mailed to all landowners within the proposed agricultural security area.
